Ede Warner Jr., PhD (Director of Debate)
Dr. Warner is entering his 11th season at UofL. Ede received his PhD in Communication Studies in 1998 from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Warner's teams have placed as high as the semi-finals at the Cross-Examination Debate Association National Tournament and quarter-finals at the National Debate Tournament, as well as finalists at Wake Forest University, University of Southern California, Long Beach State University (Champions), and others. Dr. Warner is the recipient several awards including the Honorable Mention Coach of the Year for the NDT 6th District and the Brownlee National Coach of the Year award.

Tiffany Dillard (Program Coordinator)
Tiffany Dillard is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. She is finishing up her Masters in Sociology with an emphasis in Communication, here at the University of Louisville and also holds a graduate certificate in Pan-African Studies.
During her 7 years as a member of the debate team, Tiffany has been a debater, graduate assistant and now Program Coordinator. She has a 7 year old son named, Demetrius and in her spare time, she enjoys playing basketball and scrabble.

Mary Mudd (Program Assistant)
A debater for the team in her senior year at the University of Louisville, Mary is happy to now be a permanent member of the staff, having recently accepted the position of Program Assistant. She is looking forward to "being involved in the continual evolution of the argument, the team and the individual debaters."

Natasha DeJarnett (Graduate Assistant)
Natasha DeJarnett is from Georgetown, Kentucky and is working on her Masters in Public Health. She plans to work in the Healthcare field and continue to "encourage healthy lifestyles and enhance people's quality of life."
Natasha is an active alumnae member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and enjoys being involved with her community.

Sarah Ray (Graduate Assistant)
Sarah Ray is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and is working on her Masters in English. In the long term, she hopes to work in the field of broadcasting.
Sarah enjoys watching movies, playing basketball and spending time with family and friends.

Brian Huot (Junior)
Brian Huot is a junior Chemistry and History major originally from Surrey, BC, Canada. He graduated from Boone County High School in Florence, KY. He was pulled into debate in order to help gain points at the state competition for his high school during his senior year and fell in love with it.
During this debate year, Brian hopes to "finish in the top 50% and qualify to debate at the National Debate Tournament (NDT)."
When not debating, Brian enjoys video gaming and the society of his fellow under-graduate Chemistry students.

Aaron Price (Senior)
Aaron Price is a senior majoring in Political Science and Communication. He attended Eastern High School in Louisville, Kentucky and is currently a member of the SGA, IFC, TKE, College Republicans and the UofL Racquetball Club.
After taking Dr. Warner's debate class in the summer of 2006, Aaron joined the team and hopes that debate will "better prepare me for law school."
Aaron's goals include winning a national tournament and finishing the season with a winning percentage in the top 50. His long term goals include becoming a lawyer and running for political office.

Ebony Rose (Junior)
Ebony Rose is a junior Early Education major originally from Kansas City, MO., where he attended Central High School. He was recruited by his high school debate coach, Jane Rinehart, because of his high reading scores, and has continued debating in college.
His goal as a debater this year is to get a bid to the National Debate Tournament (NDT) and to advance at the Cross Examination Debate Association (CEDA) National Tournament.

Jason Walker (Junior)
Jason Walker is a junior Pan-African Studies major who attended K.I.M.A PCS in Washington, DC. Jason has debated since 2002 with the DC Urban Debate League and hopes to win a tournament this year and receive a bid to the National Debate Tournament (NDT).
In the long term, Jason plans to obtain a Ph.D. and become a professor in the field of African American Studies as well as create a youth self-enhancement program geared towards urban youth.

Rosie Washington (Junior)
Rosie Washington is a junior Political Science major who went to Lincoln Prep in Kansas City, MO. She became interested in debate after her mom encouraged her to participate in high school.
Rosie's goals on the UofL debate team include qualifying for the National Debate Tournament (NDT), receiving the top speaker award at the Cross Examination Debate Association (CEDA) National Tournament as well as advancing to the semi-finals.
In addition to remaining politically aware and advocating advancement in education, Rosie may teach or be part of a political think tank.

Angie White (Junior)
Angie White is a junior political science major originally from Hueytown, Alabama. She is new to debate this year and hopes debate will be useful in her studies.
As a debater this year, Angie hopes to "be as influential as possible in the MPOWER movement." Angie plans to attend Law School after graduation or pursue a career within the Federal Government.
Angie also enjoys playing basketball and spending time with friends.
