    Policy Debate Competition

The Malcolm X Debate Program participates in two-person policy debate. We are members of two debate organizations (NDT- National Debate Tournament and CEDA- Cross Examination Debate Association). Each organization debates the same resolution throughout the season. Each has a national tournament at the end of the season. Each has a variety of divisions- "novice" (no or little experience); "junior varsity" (some experience); "varsity or open" (experienced debaters). The overall priority is measured by improvement and ensuring that each student can participate in levels compatible to her or his availability and interest.

UofL is committed to national excellence in these two organizations, at each level of competition: novice, junior varsity, and varsity.
